I like Thanksgiving. I mean, I’m down with the food and the drink and the Twilight Zone marathons… A lot. But to have a day when it is actually a common practice to acknowledge the things in your life that you are appreciative of is a very good thing indeed. I like to reflect on these things regularly, but considering the theme of the day, I’m going to lay a couple out here for you now.
In general my list is pretty standard- My health, my friends, my family, my little cat, a really delicious cup of coffee… And maybe my marginal ability to stay upright on two wheels. One thing that I would like to share specifically, and at the risk of getting all sappy, is that I am thankful for you.
Without the people who support this website, I would be doing some kind of similar menial task as I have since I was thirteen years old and probably spending a good deal of my life in a bad mood because of it. The fact that I have serendipitously found myself in this position over the last five years is nothing that I ever for a second take for granted.
To the advertisers in the Maximo Supremo segment of the site, the readers who come by here and make the numbers look appealing to said advertisers, BradO, Chris and Kim who have gone above and beyond the call of duty in helping to make the products look sweet, Cobra Commander and Zoltron for turning the knobs and pushing the buttons, and to anyone who throws down their hard earned money on any of the Black Market goods, I am profoundly, and from the bottom of my black heart, very thankful that you allow me to be here.
Now with that said, Happy Thanksgiving, and pass the mashed potatoes.
